I got to Bayfield at 11:30 this morning. It was a nice morning paddle from where I camped in the Bad River Indian Reservation.
I landed at the beach next to Trek and Trail and walked into town. I stopped at Boreal Shores and talked to an employee but Chris did stop in while I was there. It's a really nice high end kayak touring retail shop. Then I had lunch at Big Water Coffee Roasters and walked up to get a camping permit for tomorrow night at the mainland campsite just befor the caves commonly accessed from Myer's Beach. Lastly I checked out Trek and Trail before heading to the Buffalo Bay Marina, campground, lodge and casino. I'm on my iPad now in the casino. No rush tomorrow I'll maybe even have breakfast here.. It's only about a 20 mile day to that Apostle Islands campsite. Earlier Eric Iverson who had guided kayak tours for me years ago picked me up to go eat in Bayfield.
