Morning crossing to Sibley Pennisula

We got up a bit earlier for the 6 mile crossing from Pie Island to Thunder Cape. It started out beautifully calm with the rising sun and ended with quartering seas of 1 to 2 feet with a tail wind. After a break at the T Harbor beach we continued on to Silver Islet. We checked out the Sea Lion sea arch but it was too rough to get very close.

We found a MiFi signal up on a ridge on Pie Island Nd enjoyed a evening with calming winds.

It was the first time I was up for the sunrise and it was beautiful. Stronger winds were predicted so we were eager for an earlier start.

Such a contrast between the calm of our start leaving Pie Island and the stronger wind and waves at the other side. Though it did not get super windy until the afternoon when we had arrived to the little town of Silver Islet where we planned to camp. We soon ran into a guy named Ted and since that time...hours ago we've listened to his stories about this area and had a wonderful dinner of walleye and potatoes... Now we'll be sleeping in his guest cabin. : )
