Old Woman Bay to Beatty Cove

Today seemed like maybe the favorite day of paddling so far. The conditions were so glassy and the coastal scenery amazing. Much of today's memories will be the underwater scenery as we paddled along. The Devil's Chair, which I'd heard of maybe 15 years ago I saw for the first time. It was more interesting than I'd expected perhaps in some ways due to the glassy conditions. I believe the real and original name was Nanabozho's Chair and of some spiritual or legendary importance to the Ojibway. The Jesuits did a lot of renaming in their quest to demonize anything of a spiritual nature that was not Christian.
The campsite setting at Beatty Cove is beautiful but it's now raining and I'm in my tent preparing a blog post to send next chance. Likely tomorrow when we'll be at the RV campground with showers and laundry.
We will be passing the well known pictographs at Agawa Rock tomorrow and it sounds like another calm day.

Ready to launch and off we go...
